Since joining the firm in January 2007, David has developed a wide range of legal competencies, but the majority of his practice focuses on advocating for and protecting the rights of injured persons.

David manages a diverse case load and is engaged in every aspect of litigation. He participates as first or second chair counsel during civil jury trials, and as part of a trial team with Senior and Founding Partner Gary J. Ogg, David has been an integral part of some of the biggest verdicts in our firm’s storied history.
David also assists in our appellate practice and has written and argued appeals before the Superior Court of Pennsylvania, Western District, and the Federal Third Circuit Court of Appeals. For a sample of the types and results of cases David has handled, click here.
David graduated from Duquesne University School of Law in 2005, and the University of Pittsburgh in 1986. Prior to becoming a lawyer, David worked in the private sector where he accumulated a record of achievement and recognition managing multi-million dollar businesses.
David is currently a member of: Academy of Trial Lawyers of Allegheny County; Allegheny County Bar Association; Multi-Million Dollar and Million Dollar Advocates Forum; and, most meaningfully, he is a third generation attorney from the Houck Family which has provided legal services to the citizens of Western Pennsylvania for almost 100-years. David is married and has two adult children.
